MR. CESELBRACHT Principal Hustling, bustling, mostly worrying, are five harried faculty members known collectively as hthe powers that bef7 Head of the Norwood High School power structure is Albert Ceselbracht, principal, who supervises the teaching staff and directs school public relations. Often seen meting punishment to wayward Indians, assistant principal LOWeH Anderson voices administration views as ativisor to Student Council. Assistant principal Elton Kistler, rarely seen in the main building, supervises the Vocational School and the evening classes. All plans for student activities must receive an O.K. from the co- ordinator, Miss Nell Griffin. Through recent Student Council action these four represent the administration on the Student Affairs Committee. The seniorhs best friend is his counselor, Miss Flor- ence Nolte, who advises him on colleges, scholarships, and employment. Five other counselors, one for each grade school, follow students from stiventh grade through their upperclass years. Administration integrates courses, activities. The wage of $3.00 for a regular meeting is merely the interest on the principal Norwood owes its Board of Education. Viewing education from the desk of busi- ness, commerce, and industry, flve Norwood men guide its educational future, Advising Brooks Parsons, Super- intendent of Norwood Schools, is the principal function of these men, the Board of Education. Under President T. W. Gabe the Board approves 31L school financing and planning in monthly meetings. New teachers, curricula, and activities are discussed from the standpoint of both the professional educator and the community. Members are elected for four-year- terms, running on a non-partisan ballot, representing only the citizens of Norwood. Through Board action, a Cheerful teachers! lounge, efficient administration ofhces, and a hstudent-in-the- round,7 counselors, olhce are now part of the N.H.S. Hoorplan. This summer the Board also renovated the locker rooms and oHices in the heldhouse to give Nor- wood a modern physical plant. MR.
