Ramirez Scott Bitner was selected as the l986 Rodgers Scholarship recipient. This prestigious honor was awarded on the basis of academic excel- lence, extracurricular involvement, integrity, and financial need. Scott was a member of the Math Club and National Honor Society. He was a Student Council member for three years and represented Norwin at the County Student f Forum. .,... ' ..,,. flower leftj Patti Snyder and Tim Dunster attended the World Affairs Council November lst in Pittsburgh. Sponsored by the Rotary, this year's topic was world economics and trade. Kelly Lydon was the recipient of the Hugh O'Brien Award. Nominated for leadership, concern for others, and desire to learn. Kelly attended a seminar in April where she met with students from other schools and heard speeches from business and government leaders. Clower rightj Cheryl Kremer attended the Summer Happening in the Arts spending two weeks at Indiana University of Pennsylvania taking courses in art and photography. Kirk Yenerall was selected to participate in the Governor's School for International Studies at Philadelphia. The month long program included the study of cultures different from ours. Linda LaGorga was named the Century Ill Leader. Queen Gina Carrick and King Jeff Shrump pose for their subjects in a royal fashion. The Class of I988 took top honors with their float of New York.
