AUNTIE MAME The Fourth Wall Players performed their first play in the new auditorium on May 30, 31, 1974 when they presented AUNTIE MAME. After four months of infrequent re- hearsals and delays that were caused for a variety of reasons, the group was finally ready to stage their traditional Spring comedy. Many first-nighters voiced their dismay that more people did not see the skillful performance by the Fourth Wall Play- ers. Jill Erickson did an excellent job in playing the lead part of Mame as did Karen Crawford as Vera and Joe Phaneuf as Mr. Babcock. Many teachers made their stage debut as Fourth Wall Players in AUNTIE MAME. These teachers were Mrs. Snell, Miss Vernacchio, Mr. D'Angelo, Mr. Wallace, Mr. Emerson, and Mr. Spelvin. Many of the Theater-goers remarked that they hadn't ever heard of Mr. Spelvin prior to AUNTIE MAME but that he certainly had a knack for playing chubby Japanese butlers. .5 - QI. Cathy Spang, 1974 Prom queen and her escort, Bruce Tibbens. Rr ,J T, , '- - The 1974 junior-Senior Prom was held on May 10, 1974 at the Sheraton-Tara Hotel in Braintree. The room in which the Prom was held was filled to capacity by the more than 100 couples in attend- ance. It was obvious that the band, The Techniques, were well liked for the dance floor was crowded all night. The highlight of the night was the crowning of the queen, Cathy Spang, and her court, Debbie Wessel and Michelle Dev- GICQUX. 10
