Throughout our senior years Mr. Gal- lucci has helped us in innumerable ways. He worked extra hours to place us in colleges, and at the same time he found the energy to participate in field trips, to assist with the book fair, and to make his own office the base for this Yearbook. His patient diligence has endeared him to us, and in appreciation of his endeavors we dedicate the 1967 Ship- builder to him. f u SECRETARY LIBRARIAN ....-sg -- u - V r Y ' ,L .E I . The English Department, headed by Mr. Robinson, has broad- ened in both curriculum and extra-curricular activities. The Ad- vanced Placement sections in grades ten through twelve enable pro- ficient students to prepare for more accelerated college courses. The department also includes speech, drama, and journalism. Field trips to cultural events increase our appreciation of the Arts. What happened in Philadelphia in 1776 ? The Social Studies Depart- ment offers a four year pro- gram including World History, U.S. History, and Economics. The interested students may then culminate their study by taking a seminar type course in Problems of Democracy. The department also sponsors the student exchange program be- tween Norwell and another school. Sranding, left to right: Mr. F. Norwell High School's Sci- ence Department is expanding rapidly to keep pace with the advancing field. Freshmen are brought in contact with chem- istry and lab procedures. Soph- omores get a look at life pro- cesses through the biology pro- gram. Juniors advance their knowledge in chemistry, and the four year program is con- summated with the new PSSC physics. All classes are kept up-to-date with new audio-vis- ual materials and equipment. Thus, the science student is able to keep pace with the technological advances of his time. I2 Easy does it! There were long, time-consiuning thoughts off the field or court, and split-second decisions in games. Such judgments required strategic thoughts or spontaneous reflexes.
