Small 05 gamut A class in high school is like a ship voyaging through a necessary yet sometimes stormy sea of education. This voyage is often complicated by the fact that the sea is constantly changing, altering its yesterday face. The ship, therefore, needs a guide who can capably chart a course through such uncanny waters. The class of 1965 recognized you, Mr. Small, as our able navigator. Because of your guidance, we feel better qualified to chart our own courses upon leaving the harbor of our high school.

We, the class of 1965, boarded our ship as inexperienced, undecided boys and girls. It was a new ship with a new skipper, and we were diffidentg but he com- petently steered our vessel. When storms occured, Mr. Jackman, as our helmsman, eased the blows and avoided the precarious reefs. Thus, we gained knowledge with each successive experience. Having sailed the first ship of education under an able helpful leader, we Seniors have now arrived at the end of this river voyage disem- barking from our craft as determined experienced young men and women prepared for the challenging sea.
