PRINCIPAL P I, .!V'!k -, . if at f3 'Ds P X. vi, ...- , . ,ar - 4 -sv To the Class of 1961: In a society that currently places great emphasis on TEAM PLAY and on DOING THINGS TO- GETHER, we might well be reminded that achievement and success are largely the products of INDIVID UAL EFFORT. A publication, SAYINGS - SPEAKING TO AMERICAN YOUTH, expresses a thought that may be im- portant to young citizens: Have a life plan. It is your life. Nobody cares about your alibisg everybody cares about your achievements. Your life plans will have many parts: your home and family plans, your religious and recreational plans, your vocational plans. Don 't rush into any of them. Consider them carefully. Plan your religious life, your reading, your recreation, and your career. Plan your 'other vocation', for everyone should have a magnificent obsession. In life there are no lucky dogs, winners are workers with an aim. Have as your creed: I am only one but I am one. I cannot do everything but I can do something. What I can do I ought to do and with the Grace of God I will do. Best wishes for success with your various ventures in the years ahead. Frederick A. Small 6
