We are grateful tor having had the privilege of knowing Mrs. Cole, and feel that we are better citizens because ot our close association with her as teacher and advisor during our formative years.

EDlTOR'S MESSAGE We, the editors of the 1957 Shipbuilder, wish to express our heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Vose, our advisor and counselor. We also wish to express our Thanks to our co-operative staff and to all others who have helped during the year, with special gratitude to Mr. MacNamara and the photographers of the Purdy Studios. The fine photographs of the sailing ships seen in our book have been taken from the 1957-58 Coronet Seascape Calendar, and we thank the Coronet Division of Esquire Calendar for their perrnission to print these pictures. To Mr. Gene Manchester, the representative of the yearbook corn- pany, and Mrs. Richard Cash of Alston Studios go our appreciation for their technical aid and advice.
