Seniors Lead Team to 3rd In County The 1984 Norwayne Boys Track Team was composed mostly of underclassmen and three key seniors, Larry Booth, Steve Kimble, and Scott Moyer. Despite the fact that most mem- bers had little experience, the team sprinted to a 3rd place county league finish and a 4-1 dual meet record, demolishing arch-rival Doyles- town, Dalton, and Rittman, and falling only to county champion Smithville. The importance of senior leadership was especially apparent dur- ing the Hillsdale meet, when a pep talk allowed the team to rally behind to victory. Individual efforts took 3 competitors to the regional meet: Larry Booth, with a school record long jump of 2V 8 3 4 , and an 11.3 clocking in the 100 meter dash: Chad Glanco ' s personal best of 12 ' 0 in the pole vault: Tim Kowalczyk ' s 40.7 300 Meter Hurdles time. Although the three seniors will be badly missed, the young team has reason to be optimistic about it ' s future . . . and anx- ious to see what that future will bring. 134 Boys Track Far Above: Larry Kois is holding the lead in the 2-mile Far Above: Brian Stutz shorn us his perfect form in the relay. discus.
