N.H.S. Broadens Horizons The National Honor Society included seated, Diane Indermuble and Rod Russell; standing, Melanie Indermuble, Kim Miller, Jan Miller, Lynne Uhter, Stepbany Glanco, Michelle Rook, Karen Maibach, Lisa Allen, Ryan Wertz and Barb Corn Absent: Dana Gnfftn The N.H.S. students partook in a very special event this year which was made possible by advisor Jill Byers. They were the only students in Wayne County to see Vice-President, George Bush speak at Ashland College for the Ashbrook Memorial. The trip proved to be a new and exciting experience. The organization also provided two Webster Dictionaries for study-hall use in the cafeteria. New members inducted in the fall seniors Shemll Menegay and Denise Valentine. Other new members ducted in the spring at Good- times Restaurant in Orrnlle. Participating in the induction of new members Denny Obermiller, and Mark Haberbush. Student Council Across: Student Council consisted of (bottom to top); Stephany Glanco, Kim Miller, Denise Valentine, Jan Mill- er, Mike Geiger, Denny Obermiller, Lynne Uhler, Sally Vance, Lisa Allen, Connie Beichler, fanis Handler, Becky Zollinger, Mam Miller, Susan Gray, A my Beery, Michele Fry and Danny Winkler. Middle: Officers included Treasurer - Stephany Glanco; President - Kim Miller; Vice President - fan Miller, and Secretary — Lisa Allen. Bottom: Selling Hershey Kisses: Michele Fry, Amy Beery and fan Miller The Student Council sponsored many dances this year. They included the Football Homecoming Dance, the Sweetheart Dance, the Christmas Dance and the Senior Farewell Dance. The Student Council also organized the yearly Bonfire which is a pep rally in which the Football Homecoming Queen is announced. This years queen was Deb Stanley. To raise money for various pr ojects, the Student Council sold Hershey Kisses and received $400. 00 from the Wooster Jaycees Haunted House for hav- ing the most students participate from Nor- wayne. 120 Student Council
