Band Banquet Combines Honor and Humor The annual band banquet was held in the high school cafeteria. Awards highlighting the evening were the John Philip Sousa Award and Directors Award. Rod Russell, representing ev- erything a director could hope for, received the fohn Philip Sousa Award. Stephany Glanco was the recipient of the Directors Award. Ste- phany repeatedly demonstrated her loyalty and dedication as well as leadership over the past four years. Stephany has served as band presi- dent the past year and passed the position on to Lisa Allen at the banquet. The band was honored to have Japanese exchange student Tomohiro Sato as a member of the band for one year. Tom joined the band shortly after his arrival in the United States. Band members netted a big profit in the fall from the sale of liquid soap. All funds will be used for future band activities. Ryan IVertz receives a third year award. Tom Sato receives a special Award from Lisa Allen. Stephany Glanco receives the Directors Award. lH Band Banquet
