Wariqn ?fMnLLr Qigng Our Homecoming, held October 10th in a game against Smithville, was highlighted with the crowning of Queen Marilyn Winkler by co-cap- tains Carter Brown and Dick Dawson. Each year the senior class nominates three candidates for queen and the final selection is made by the football squad. The choice is kept secret until the night before the game when the big pep rally with bonfire is held. The coldness of the weather failed to lessen the smiles of the queen and her eight lovely at- tendants as they were paraded around the field in sleek convertibles before the crowning cere- mony.
