Cordon Welty and David McCoy are the scholastic students who received a rating in the 99th and 98th percentile, respectively, on the Merit Scholarship Test which they took in April 1958. Of the 47,800 students in the United States who took this test, Gordon is one of 10,000 finalists. Gordon also tied for sixth place in the county in the Senior Scholarship tests this year with a score of 212. In this same test David was in the top 25 per cent. Gordon has been accepted to continue his education at the Case Institute of Technology and David plans to enroll at Baldwin-Wallace College.
