One of the most active organizations of Norwayneg the Future Farmers of America. has had an exceptionally good year. Last spring the dairy-judging team won first place in the district. A short time later, not to be outdone, the soil-judging team won top honors in the district and then went on to win second place in the state. 7 Mi er .4 wzar .4 Jim Rupp and George lrvin had the best Project Books. Mr. Welker may well he proud of the many honors won by the hoys of his Chapter. The general livestock judging team also did quite well, although they did not place in the top ten of the state. Tom Smeller works on his shop project. Don Harley and Ron Casser get some first To carry on their many activities, the F.F.A. has had to under- take a numher of fund-raising projects. Among these were: mixing and selling rat poison, selling reflector tape and screwdriver sets, and having scrap drives. Late last summer, under the' Conduct of Meetings Division, the Fair Booth entered by Norwayne won the Grand Champion- ship in its class at the State Fair. Part of this winning booth is shown at left. Norwayne's Parliamentary Procedure Team won top honors in the District, heating out second-place Wooster by one and one-half points. Team members were: Ron Casser.
