They lost to Wooster -in the Sectional Class A Tourney l to 5, and lost to Northwestern 4 to 5 in the Semi-Final County Tourney. The rating of the Norwayne Track Team has improved and each year the boys are showing' more skill and confidence. The Bobcats placed second at the Doylestown Invitational Meet with a total of 50.9 points. Places were won by the following: Herman Hatten ....,. 1st in the 100, 220, and 440 yard dashes, 4th in broad jump. Howard Christian ,,,Y 2nd in the mile relay. Richard Ritzi ....... - 2nd in the 880 yard run, tied for 5th in high jump. Fred Winklerw.-. - .- 2nd in 220 yard dash, 3rd in 100 yard dash. Bob DKWSOII .-.-- he 2nd in broad jump, 3rd in 120 yard high hurdles and 180 low hurdles. Dick Dawson. Dan Wiles, Hugh Myers, Howard Christiane- -. 2nd in 880 yard and 1 mile relays. At the time of the County Track Meet in May, the Norwayne seniors were on their annual trip to Washington, but even though they were handicapped by the absence of some of their outstanding athletes, the Bobcats placed fourth with a total of 21 points.
