Leading the way in competitive tests were John Matanovich and Homer Stall. John and Homer qualified as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Test and placed first and second, respectively, in the Ohio General Scholarship Test. Others showed they were a credit to the school. John Reynolds received an appointment as an alternate to Annapolis. Many seniors were accepted by the college of their choice. Careers were decided upon during the year. High grades were achieved through hard work and determination to do better. Knowledge gained by this hard work will be an incalcu- lable help in whatever profession the students enter.
