Basketball The Norwalk boys lost a hard fought well played game to the St. Marys boys in the County finals at Indianola by a score of 50-48. The local boys led nearly all the way. A jump ball in the final two seconds was tapped to Shutt of the visitors who shot the winning basket as the horn sounded. SECOND ROW: Mr. Scott, Sharon Kellogg, Helen Walker, Madalene Cameron, Judy Croft, Betty Miller, Earlene Roberts, Lucille Harkin, Ann Webb, LaNonne Cormany, Rosemary Rinehart, Mr. Weberg. THIRD ROW: Teresa Cline, Janice Cameron, Jane Croft, Joyce Damron, Margaret Harkin, Annette Dash, Connie Rinard, Penny Martini, Virginia Beck, Linda Lee, Mrs. Martini For the past several years the High School girls have been playing softball in their physical education classes and quite a bit of interest and a certain amount of playing ability has developed as a result. Last fall the girls softball team played several games and during the fall season were entered in the Iowa HighSchool Girls Athletic Union sectional tournament. The girls advanced to the finals in the girls sectional losing to Truro by a score of 35 - 25. The girls plan on playing several games this spring with schools in the vicinity and hope to turn in a good record. 67'
