STANDING: Mr. Moberg, director. MUSIC ! MUSIC ! MUSIC l Norwalk's fifty piece band is the best yet. The band, which has been organized for three years, is under the direction of Mr. Dean A. Moberg. The band consists of both grade and high school students. The home ball games were made richer by the presence of the pep band, which is composed of about twenty members. So far this year, the band has performed for P. T.A. , and will take part in the Spring Festival at Indianola. Also, there will be two concerts held in April. In May, the band will enter in the State Band Contest. The band is still working to raise funds for new band uniforms. 4

Vocal Groups Sextette Left to right: Carol Weaver, Rosalie Griffiths, Beverly Morse, Betty Miller, Donna Silverthorne, June Terry. The importance of music is readily acknowledged in every community due to the fact that it rounds out and makes every program more complete. The first sextette composed of Judy Croft, Karen Ellis, Mary Lou Ellis, Madalene Cameron, Donna Sue Ellis and Nancy Brightman, has entertained the Des Moines Federated Club and the P, 'I.A. with a few songs. The first trio, comprized of the three Ellis Sisters, has sung at the Des Moines Federated Club, Ladies Aid at the Methodist Church, Lions Club, and the P, T.A. We have now a quartette comprized of Judy Croft, and the three Ellis Sisters. Mr. Moberg has now selected the second Sextette and secondtrio. They are as follows: Second sextetteg Carol Weaver, Rosalie Griffiths, Beverly Morse, Donna Silverthorne, Betty Miller, and June Terry. The second trio, Rollene Gideon, Linda Lee, and Janet Eggers. From these various groups the soloists are being picked.
