MUSIC IN THE AIR The music this year was furnished by the forty-nine members of the Norwalk Girls Glee Club. With the help of the student conductors who are Judy Croft and June Terry, the pianists, Judy Croft, Janet Eggers and Rosalie Griffiths, and the director Mr. Dean Moberg these girls have worked together learning to sing in harmony. The events in which the glee club has taken part in are the Iowa State Music Contest which was held at Grimes, April 13 and 14, the Warren County Music Contest at Indianola, April 18, and our formal Spring Concert held at the eleme-.tary schoolbllildihg, April 5 and 6. Also, the final Iowa State Music Contest for the small vocal groups will be held at Prairie City, May 4 and 5. The girls have sung both classical and semi-classical music. Some of the songs they have sung are The Yellow Rose of Texas, Still, Still with Thee , Bless This House , Sheep and Lambs , Autumn Leaves , Plenty Good Room , A Perfect Day , Waltz of the Flowers , and Smoke Gets in Your Eyes.

Of the twenty-two I ratings given, Norwalk received eleven. These eleven I ratings were from sixteen entries of the Norwalk students.
