afety Patrol FIRST ROW: Donnie Casady, Jack Damron, Alan Hoover, Sally Henry, Lynda Kaldenberg, Gary Patterson, Carl Moore, Frank Rains. SECOND ROW: Mark Cheers, Jack Jones, Mac Bowles, Steven Morris, Jerry McKay, Ronnie Trent, Lynn Willison, Jim Stacy. THIRD ROW: James Wood, Weston Morris, Jim Forsythe, Jim McVey, Jerry Anderson. The members of the Norwalk Safety Patrol was composed of students from the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grades. They worked in pairs once a week the same as in past years. Those patrol members living in Norwalk took morning and evening duty and those living in the rural areas were assigned noon-time duty. The members of the patrol were very faithful to their duty and as a reward received complimentary passes to the home basketball games. It is also planned to further reward the members with a planned trip to Des Moines before school is dismissed for the summer vacation.

The library staff of the Norwalk High School is made up of students who work one period each day in the library. These librarians check books in and out and help catalogue new materials. Of the twenty-two I ratings given, Norwalk received eleven. These eleven I ratings were from sixteen entries of the Norwalk students.
