Freshman lass FIRST ROW: David Balducki, Sharon Kellogg, Helen Walker, Teresa Cline, Ann Beery, Linde Lee, Sharon McVay, Sharon Anderson, Fred Terry. SECOND ROW: Merrill Beck, Jim Weaver, David Wilson, Rodney Alberts, Margaret Harkin, Jane Croft Annette Dash, Phillip Trent, Allan Hankins, Mr. Weberg. THIRD ROW: Roland Law, Marvin Henry, Fred Caruthers, Larry Moser, Bryson Riorden, Wendall Kaldenberg, Louis Schloemer, Roger Brightman, Jerry Carter. 1 The opening day of school, August 31, found ten girls and fourteen boys as members of the Freshmen Class. This included a number of new members as follows. Alan Hankins from Martensdale, Margaret Harkin and Sharon Kellogg from Cunning, and Wendall Kaldenburg from Colfax, Three more boys entered the class during the year. Marvin Henry from Ridgeway, Missouri, Bryson Riordan from Birmingham, Iowa and Roland Law from Hartford, Iowa. Our class officers for the year are President, Fred CBFU-fherii Vice Pl'eBideDfF Wendall Kaldenbllrgi Secretary-Treasurer, Sharon Anderson. 2 V We became full fledged high school students following initiation on September 23rd. The members of the newspaper staff are Jane Croft and Sharon Anderson. Student council members are Ann Beery and Fred Caruthers. Quite a few of our class are taking part in athletics, music and declamatory work. Mr. Weberg is our class sponsor.

Sophomore Class FIRST ROW: Virginia Beck, LaNonne Coi-many, Rosalie Griffiths, Patty McVay, Joyce Judd, Penny Martini, Rosemary Rinehart, Janet Eggers. SECOND ROW: Jim Iverson, Tom McCoy, David Herman, Dennis Hildreth, Bill Wiles, Dale Lovestad, Jerry Sargent, Dick Graham, Gary Baker, Mrs. Cramer. We started the year of- 1955-56 with sixteen class members, and in October we welcomed Joyce Judd from Ridgeway, Missouri, making us a total of seventeen Class officers are as follows: Dennis Hildreth, President: Garry Baker, Vice President: Janet Eggers, Secretary: Virginia Beck, Treasurer. Our class sponsor is Mrs. Cramer. Our subjects are algebra, business training, English, and world history. The honor roll: Fist Six Weeks, Virginia Beck, Dale Lovestead. Semester, Bill Wiles. Perfect attendance for the first semester, Garry Baker, Patty McVay and Rosalie Griffiths. The sophomore girls in glee club are Patty McVay, Janet Eggers, LaNonne Carmony, Penny Martini, and Rosalie Griffiths. In the sports field we have both boys and girls participating. La Nonne Carmony and Rosemary Rinehart are the cheerleaders. Jim Iverson, Janet Eggers and Garry Baker are our representatives to student council. Rosalie Griffiths is on the newspaper staff. Janet Eggers and Rosalie Griffiths both went out for declamatory work this year. We don't work all of the time because we did have time for a class party. It was a potluck supper at the Anthony Griffiths home and afterwards we went to see the show Guys and Dolls in Des Moines. Dennis Hildreth and Janet Eggers were our class representatives for King and Queen at homecoming.

ighth Grade FIRST ROW: Christy Steward, Phyllis Rosander, Diane Devin, Rollene Gideon, Radine Ryan, Sharon Carter, Lynda Kaldenberg, Sally Henry. SECOND ROW: Mrs. I-lemrning, Phillip Rosander, Bob Damron, Donna Silverthorne, Mary Lou Roberts, Penny Rohr, Nona Tilton, Gary Wilson, Phillip Hill. THIRD ROW: Jerry McKay, Steven Morris, Fred Hoover, Larry Cheers, Larry Jones, Bud Dougherty. Our class officers are President, Gary Wilson, Vice President, Radine Ryan, Secretary, Phyllis Jeanne Rosanderg and Treasurer, Mary Roberts. Our enrollment at the first of the year was 24. There are ll boys and 13 girls. We have one new member this year, Lynda Kaldenberg. She formerly attended school near Coliax. We have played four junior high basketball games this season. Our opponents have been Bondurant, Martensdale, and Carlisle twice. The girls won 3 games and lost 1, while the boys have won 1 and lost 3. We will play in the Warren County Junior High Tournaments at Martensdale which is to be held in March Our first round opponents will be Martensdale in both boys and girls division. Donna Silverthorn and Penny Rohr are the newspaper staff representatives. 'Ihe student council representatives from the 8th grade are Buddy Dougherty and Donna Silverthorn.
