Robison Assistant Superintendent Assistant Superintendent General Administration and Personnel Curriculum and Instruction The School Board serves as a policy making body for The Norfolk City School System. Its functions are selecting the superintendent of schools, establishing finances, and assisting the superintendents of schools as to the educational needs of the Norfolk Area. The Board serves in an advisory capacity for other school administrators. Be- cause of the continued growth of the population in the Norfolk area, new sites are selected for new buildings, and old buildings have their faces lifted and enlarged. Many new personnel are continuously added to keep Norfolk's educational oppor- tunities one of the best in the state. School Board Mr. Hilary H. Jones, Jr. Mr. Vincent J. Our school holds a proud position under the admin- istrative leadership of Mr. Perdue, the principalg Mr. Leidy, the assistant principal for general administrationg and Mrs. Chappell, the assistant principal for instruction. These three administrators - all competent, well- qualified, and understanding - are committed to estab- lishing and maintaining a progressive school in a tradi- tional setting. Our administrators are united in their efforts to engage a competent and effective staif, to provide a program that meets the needs of all the students, to maintain up-to- date facilities, equipments, and materials, and to gain the full support of the community. These three - Mr. Perdue, Mr. Leidy, and Mrs. Chap- pell - are long timersn and have deep roots in Norview.
