Council worked un- ceasingly to better the school, the students, and its reputation through projects concerning com- munity welfare, school spirit, publicity, daily de- votions, assemblies, and many others. The council worked with and guided the student body in suc- cessfully completing thc following projects: mak- ing and distributing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter baskets, selling beach towels, and support- ing other school service projects. of gllucafion . A clubmcntber at NHS feels that he is Nlloing his bit for his school and comniunity. A sampling of annual projects tells the true story of the groups value. The '59-'60 session featured a polio clinic, used book sale, school spirit pom-poms and dances, Wcirlrl Service soeials, Thanksgiving and Christmas charity offerings, Easter baskets for the under- privilaged, Honors Code, a blood drive, among others. Cultural enjoyment was stimulated by chorus and band concerts. Newspaper, literary magazine, and annual distribution gave students hours of pleasure as did the dramatic presenta- tions. Indeed, the tiny pins seen on 'many lapels and sweaters of Norviewites symbolize service--good citizens preparing for the future.
