The N. H. S. Student Co-operative Associa- tion is an organization of all regularly enrolled students of Norview High School formed to promote the general welfare of the whole student body. The Student Council is a representative body of the S. C. A.: it co-ordinates all school activities. The Norview High S. C. A. .has been very active in the work of the TRI-C-S. C. A. of which Hewlett Stith is President. Our own student organization is also an active participant in the Tidewater District and Virginia State S. C. A.'s sending representatives to both of their annual conventions. Many outstanding activities have been carried on this year. One we will all remember because of the good it accomplished, was collect- ing food, clothing, and toys to fill baskets for needy families at C.hristmas and Thanksgiving. The programs our organization printed for the basketball games were helpful in making the games more interesting. Sportsmanship was stressed through posters in the halls and by our homeroom representatives. To welcome the new Freshmen a party was given in their .honor. The Snowball' was one of the highlights of the winter season socials. Surely no one will forget the day the newly printed student directories came out. The activities were numerous and worthwhile because everyone had a part in their success. ASSOCIATICDN Mr. Campbell installs officers. t 9-if' 'ar draws The blueprints . Great strides were taken towards a new and improved PILOT this year. Besides changing publishing companys, new ideas were introduced. For the first year in the PILOT's history they were given a room that would be used exclu- sively for yearbook work. Senior pictures were taken at a highly-rated studio, with much satis- faction being shown over the improvement and new photographers for action pictures did a wonderful job in covering t.he activities of the school. A great deal of interest was shown this year by the student body. The students' cooperation beamed when it came to taking pictures and their interest was shown by the overwhelming number of subscribers. With a greater Norview having been intro- duced, the staff members had to work extra hard to keep up with the new era by producing a bigger, better and greater PILOT.
