IN MEMORIAM George Robert Cake 1907-1950 For fifteen years the halls and classrooms of Norview knew the leisurely walk and the friendly smile of Mr. Cake. In those fifteen years the men and women of literary fame became living persons, boys learned to shape formless wood and metal into objects of beauty and usefulness, teams learned fair play, good sportsman- ship and teamwork. A stadium back of the school stands as a silent reminder of the years he sponsored the magazine cam- paign. Mr. Cake was an understanding teacher, a great coach, and a loyal friend. Students have passed through his class- room doors for fifteen years to become bet- ter men and women because he lived and taught among us. He has left us, yet his work and words live in our midst to remain a part of our school and our lives.

ear iary: The brown and gold leaves falling from the trees make me know that Fall is here. Yesterday I rode by the school and saw the football team running out on the field to start their training, the band out on the lawn practicing and the teachers bringing the class- rooms to life again. Tomorrow l'll go register for my classes and get my schedule card. I'm looking forward to this year more than ever because I'm a Senior. ,
