It was fun to sit beside a row of teachers at a foot- ball or basketball game and it was nice to drop in for a talk after school. I did get to know a lot of them at the S. C. A. square dances. But best of all were those times when they worked with us after school hours. sometimes on our special science projects, or helping us to build scenery for the new play, hearing our lines. scrimmaging with us at football practice, painting backdrops with us for the Variety Show, going with us on special choral programs, helping us to learn to run the movie projector, giving us a chance to teach in the grade school,staying hours every week after school to help us with special difficulties, proof-reading our Co- Pilot for the hundredth time, and so many other extra things they took part in that they became more than classroom helpers, they became our friends.
