Senior Class Advisors and Officers 28 CLASS HISTORY Four years ai1 §5me odd days ago, there came forth the Class of 1981. Filled with 30th anticipation and fear, we had great expectations of what was to come. Our first Tioney mal ing venture was a bake sale. In November we created a homecoming float vhich we proudly labeled The Turkey ' s Revenge but which the seniors labeled dif- erently. In February of 1978, in the midst of The Great Blizzard, we instituted the Car- nation Sale which was to become a class tradition. A month later, we held the St. Pat- ick ' s Day Dance, and in May, the Farewell Dance marked the end of our freshman ear. We all survived the sophomore slump and participated in a great variety of activir jgs. In late October, we held a Magic Show featuring the Great Fu-Ling. When Home- ming rolled around once more, we created another float. This time the theme was Jteeat the HELL-met out of ' em and we won first place for that original idea. In Feb- jary we held our annual Carnation Sale which was followed by a Book Fair a month ter. In June our Ring Committee picked the motto We Finish To Begin. By the end b the year, we were a class filled with school spirit. t Junior Year passed quickly. We began the year by receiving our class rings and cel- abrating at a dance. We lost the Powder Puff Game but vowed we ' d get ' em next llpar! Our annual Carnation Sale and a sale of Lancer towels provided funds for our ' iagerly awaited Prom. Our successful Prom, Tomorrow and Today, was held at Ipiristo ' s II. Paul Dudley and Kelly Smith reigned as King and Queen as our theme K)ng If played in the background. FINALLY! Senior Year was filled with many events: The Welcome Dance with AAF, Senior Picnic, the magazine drive, and the Spaghetti Supper. The Seniors feated the juniors by scoring a touchdown in the final five seconds of an exciting wder Puff Game. Our last Carnation Sale was held in February and our Senior Class ow in April. The year was filled making future plans for college, the service, or jobs we looked forward to our Senior Class Trip, Class Night, and final ly Graduation. Senior Superlatives ideal N.H. It flies by so fast; yet, it seems so slow. Th e past fades out as the future fades in, For you see, my friends, we finish to begin. Recall the priceless moments in times of stress, Look upon the motto under our crest. Remember the times we would sleepily awake, Thinking of the tests we were not prepared to take. We growled, scowled, moaned and groaned, As to each teacher a blessing we entoned. Better yet, remember the times we would hastily awake, Thinking of the senior activities in which we were to partat . Remember freshman year when we felt as Strangers in a foreign place. Until we realized our togetherness and our Future was at stake. Together we chattered and overcame our fears. And courageously marched through each Day of the last four years. Now, we must all come together and Fight away the tears. Although the todays have spun away We still have all the tomorrows which Are already today. We now relive our high school past From the outside looking in. For you see, my friends, we have Finished to begin.
