Purple Key The Purple Key is made up of seniors, chosen by Mr. Joseph Solmonese, Advisor. The duties of the Purple Key include basement duty, mon- itoring the halls and maintaining order through- out the school. The members are chosen for their leadership, honesty, and co-operation. The officers are Mike Harrington, Captain and Darlene Marvel, Lieutenant. Darlene Marvel is the Lieutenant of the Purple Key. 21

Student Council With the help of Mr. Joseph Solmonese as advisor, the Student Council has been very active in school func- tions. Such projects include collecting money for Save the Children Federation and the March of Dimes. The Student Council has also worked with the Pep Club in planning pep rallies. This year the student coun- cil adopted a new policy in elections. We now elect two representatives at large from each grade. The junior high is also represented. The student council is working continuously with the teachers to help establish a better relationship between students and the teachers. Officers of tie Student Council are: Sue Bonenfant, treasurer; Arthur Griffin, vice-president; Mike Araujo, president; Lizbeth Griffin, secretary.

The Yearbook Staff consists of seniors who were chosen in June of the previous school year. During the summer months the Ad Staff can- vasses the area for yearbook adver- tisements to help finance the book. In the fall, with the help of the yearbook advisor, Miss Grace B. Kiernan, many plans are set into motion. The Business Staff sells sub- scriptions of the book, while the Quotation Staff composes the descrip- tions of the seniors. The editors make and carry out plans for the produc- tion of the yearbook. Thanks to the aid of Miss Kiernan, the Sojourn is completed and ar- rives on time. The Editors are: Row 1: Photography Ed.
