Messages From the Administration At the end of the academic year in some schools there is a day designated as Commencement Day. Commencement Day is so named for the fact that even though your public education is ending, your real education of life is just beginning. It is my hope that the Norton School System has prepared each one of you with the necessary values, concerns, knowledge, reasoning power, and responsi- bility so that you are ready to commence your way through life in a mature, re- sponsible way. Knowing the students and teachers of Norton as I do, I am confident that the Norton School System has provided you with the opportunity to develop these talents. Therefore, I think that the future will be well provided for. May I express best wishes and congratulations to each of you. Maurice J. Splaine, Jr. Superintendent of Schools
