Hard work and perseverance are the main qualifications for en- trance into the Jean C. Findlater Chapter of the National Honor Society. Each year a certain per- centage of Juniors and Seniors are chosen by a panel of faculty mem- bers on the basis of character, scholarship, leadership, and serv- ice. In September, the Purple Key members are chosen from a long list of volunteers. Mr. Splaine. the Advisor, chooses them for their abilities of leadership, honesty, and co- operation. The members are then placed at certain points of the corridor where they can control the traffic. Every day they can be found monitoring the halls, checking locker passes, and issuing sum- monses to anyone violating school rules. Sojourn Staff Portrays Sojourn Editors: George MacArthur, Photography Editor; Carolyn Landis, Photography Editor; Marguerite Dion, Associate Editor; Pamm Tripp, Editor-in-Chief; Carol Ribeiro, Associate Editor; Cynthia Sprague, Photography Editor. Much time and effort is devoted each year to creating a new edition of the Norton High School Sojourn. The yearbook staff, composed of seniors, is chosen in June by our advisor, Miss Grace B. Kiernan. During the summer and fall months, the advertis- ing staff is very busy finding sponsors who will help finance the yearbook. In September the business staff seeks prospective yearbook buyers.
