4 In fancy we recall those years now gone, Like feathery clouds departing far from view, To be' recaptured at tomorrow's dawn And reign once more within our hearts anew. The fleeting moments that have passed too soon Have left eternal mem'ries in each life, As melody composed to .haunting tune, Of schooldays we have shared 'mid joy and strife The faces of the mates we knew so well, Our feats of skill and thrills of vanished days, There is a chamber wherein each will dwell To off-er themes for countless future lays.
