Schlott The first faces we saw when as Fresh- men we entered Norton High School, and the faces of the graduation officials who gave us our coveted diplomas were those of the administration ---- the principal who gave us advice on our problems and repri- manded us when we did somethin wrong, the secretaries who take care of tie busi- ness department, and the superintendent who runs the Norton Township schools from his office in our building. During our four-year education, they gave us leadership and guidance as we went through the period of becoming young adults. It is only when we are about to leave and will receive their aid no longer, that gratitude, which was never expressed, is voiced. Thank you seems too inelo- quent, but meant sincerely, as it is here, it says more than overflowing prose. The Fighting Panthers, finishing in fifth place, had a Metropolitan League record of two wins and five losses. The disappointing record was due to bad luck on the road. Only one game was won away from home. In toumament play, Norton started well with a win over Revere, but they fell before Central. Norton s musicians all owe part of their X success to our fine instructor, Mr. Arden 1. X Yockey. Mr. Yockey is responsible for such ire X things as the selection of numbers and the S V scheduling of programs, two necessary items for the musicians success. The band is an integral part of the com- munity and can be seen entertaining during half-time at all football games, marching in parades, and performing in concerts and as- semblies. The Senior Choir also performs throughout the community with a repertoire of fine selec- tions. They perform in churches and entertain in assemblies and school concerts. The Boys' Glee Club and the Freshman Girls' Choir do excellent work in supporting the Music Department in many of its programs and assemblies.
