The famous scientist, Dorothy Petrovitch, has invented a new economy size cake of soap. It weighs fifty pounds. The main trouble with her discovery is that it is a little awkward to hold. But her assistant jackie Ferry had pretty' well solved that. just get all wet and rub up against it. I hailed another Warner cab and was propelled by the cab driver, Max Dimitroff, to the best place to eat in Loba Lova, according to Lhxi tl: Taxi. We stopped at the Strato-Sphere. The Three Spades were singing there: Dallas Tonsils Thompson, Richard Right Sharp Rennie and Vincent Danko. They used to be the Four Spades, but the fourth member, john jay Green, was ostracised because of something he once sang, Cool Water! After their act, Tonsils came over and sat down at my table. He said that Donna Mong and Elaine Stefanek had started an Alcoholics Anonymous for poor unfortunates. Catherine Anderson and Eileen Benchot are their star boarders. He also mentioned that Jim Susong, Bill Wasil, and Ray Stiles had joined the Globen-utters, and tint the tlree of them had made All-American. Their coach? Ruth Walters. just then I remembered I had to meet the cadets at eleven o'clock. I paid my bill and got my hat from the hatcheck girl. I did a doubletake when I recognized julia Groom! KIN a pink and black striped outfit?J The cadets had nothing to report except that Jane Yonmg and Eleana Baker had opened their own 5 and I0 cent store, and tlmt Janet Miller is the president of a multi-million dollar concern that packs sardines. I told the cadets of om midnight appointment at the Atomic Factory and we took a flying saucer over to it. The hom' of intrigue was nearing. The watehwoman, Donna Mmg, let us in the main gate and then ushered us to the foreman, Gary Starr's office. His secretary, -Shirfey Thompson, told us that he was in Plant A and that the office girl, Anna Lindh, would take us there. Anna said that Sandra Ries was an accomplished pianist and was the female threat to Liberace. She also said Edith Langford had a job teaching the parakeets in the Mars' zoo to say sho-nuff. Inst as we entered Plant A, the lights went out. The factory took on an eerie glow! Gary was quick to rush to ou' sides to prevent us from becoming alarmed. He explained that the walls were painted with phosphaus paint to make them radioactive. All at once I noticed some glowing footprints. I broke into a run and grabbed what I thought would be the answer to the footprints case, Bruce Roberts. He was quick to explain: 111 He had accidently spilled some paint 121 I too, had left a trail of footprints. Things were beginning to add up, the footprints could have been those of any of the factory workers and the glow was probably caused by paint on their clothing. I apologized to Bruce and the cadets and I made ready to blast off for Mars. As we boarded the rocket I could hear Loba Lova's base station trumpet player, Lois Seiberling, playing Home Sweet Home and that is where I'm soon going to be.
