This year, the Council has sponsored a sale of bonds with aa culminating Dogpatch party, a scrap drive, education in flag etiquette, a Know Your Neighbor campaign, a Students' Day, and an honor roll for Servicemen alumni. A record of a year in a democratic American high school--that is what the Bluejay staff intends this yearbook to be. They claim for it one merit: That it is a work of the students, by the students, and for the students of Norton Community High School. Those who worked on the Bluejay and their positions follow: editor, Velda Elsong business manager, Betty Bullockg athletics, Dale Quick, George Chase, Eugenia Kennedy, class pages, Irving Johnson, senior, Barbara Young, junior, Paul Epler, sophomore: John Browne, fresh ang Genevieve Bowers, faculty: Miss Luella Geyer, assistant. Typists were Ruby Rountree and Lorene Wiley.
