ON The excellence of NCHS' academic standing is largely due to the work of Gerald Travis, principal. He has completed his tenth year as principal and his sixteenth term on the faculty. Besides his administrative duties. this year he taught physiology and chemistry, and coached basketball and freshman football. Working with the superintendent and tax- payers, the seven-man board of Norton Commun- ity High School seeks to improve the educa- tional facilities of this community.
