Mankato and Norton The 50 yd dash opened the meet, Sebaugh winning first, Proctor second and Wills of Logan third. ln thegpole vau-lt.Sebaugh.took first? Sullivan- of Logan second and Baliantyne third. The height was 9 ft 6 in. This was followed by the half mile, which was won by Clapp of Logan in the fast time of 2 16, Chappell taking second place and Crook of Phillipsburg third. Next came the shot put, Kennedy of Mankato easily winning first with a distance of 39 ft. 7 in. O'Leary of Phil- lipsburg took second and Ballantyne third. In the 220 yd. hurdles Wynn easily took first in 29 2 5 seconds, the time being slowed somewhat by a strong wind which was blowing down the track. Ballantyne second and Smith of Mankato third. The l00 yd dash wasa thriller. Sebaugh, Sullivan of Logan, and Kennedy of Mankato all finished in a bunch. After much discussion thejudges called ita lie be- tween Sullivan and Sebaugh, splitting the points and giving third to Ken- nedy. Time. ll I-5 seconds The high jump was taken by Wynn,second place going to Fisher and third to Womer of Phillipsburg ln the 220 yd. dash Alsdorf of Logan came in first, Proctor second. but the referee disquali- fied both men on the ground that they changed lanes and gave first place to Gimple of Mankato, Gleason second. The mile was taken by Clapp of Logan in 5.22. Dobbie second and Sea- right third. The discus throw was the classiest event of the meet, Kenne- dy took first place with a throw of ll2 ft. 8 in. breaking the track record. Fisher was second and Wynn third. Kennedy immediately added another first to his list by winning the 440 yd. run in 56 seconds,Gleason taking sec- ond and Gimple third. First place in the broad jump went to Yohe of Phil- lipsburg with a jumpf of l9 ft. lie in. Kennedy took second and Chappell third. The l20 yd. hurdles belong to Wynn so of course he took them,time I9 seconds. which might have been faster if any one had crowded him. Ballantyne took second and Smith of Mankato third. This finished all but the relay. Three teams were entered. Logan took first in the fast time of 3 46, Norton finished second and Mankato third. Total points, Norton 60, Mankato 26, Logan 23. Phillipsburg 12. Father Tuite awarded his gold medal to Sebaugh. Chet Wynn was ahead on points but had been awarded the medal last year.
