A North- wood friend helped the school move in this case, by donating funds for the much-needed building. Plans for the annual auto show were dis- cussed by this group, from left, Ben Price, Deborah Unger, Alan McCormack and Professor John Hetlin. This annual event attracts about 25,000 persons to campus to view the new model cars. Classrooms in Jordan Hall form the usual headquarters for classes at Northwood, but this academic gathering took place outside, near the Lincoln statue. The weather, in this case a warm fall day provided the impetus for informality. Among speakers who came to campus during the year was Dr. S. l. Hayakawa, president of San Francisco State College, who spoke to the Executive 100 Club of Northwood and later to students in a special news conference. Eliot Janeway, author and economic fore- caster, also held a news conference with students following his talk to the Executive 100 Club. Janeway later returned for the first of Northwood's new lateral seminars, day-long meetings involving large groups of students. Northwood Moves . . . With Management Education Among the learning experiences in which Northwood Automotive Marketing students are involved is the annual auto show, on the campus mall. Students man the dis- plays of new model cars, gaining experi- ence in dealing with the public. The Charles J. Strosacker Library is a popular spot for study and research, as this group of students shows with their intense concentration. . 154. .- Northwood Moves . . .
