In fact, very shortly half the population of the United States will be under twenty-five. At Dow Corning, as with many other corpora- tions across the country, the younger generation is playing an important role in the company’s activities. Why? Because there’s a lot of truth in that old saying about there being no substitute for experience, and that’s exactly what the young people are getting today so that they may grow, develop and mature into the responsible leaders we will be looking to for guid- ance in the years to come. Work—study programs are one way that young people are getting that experience. At Dow Corning, co—op students have jobs in laboratories, production, engineering and offices.
