Fzrst row Fesler Metcalf D Howell B Green Harrar Ramsdell Sykes Second row I 81 G Heggze Dyson Runge Walters Wallzs Bronson lack Vebber Mr Karr Third row Lasus Gzllzngs Crarnpton Whztmg Scofzeld Man Olmstead Hollzs Short Brunelle Lejever Scott Stanard Shepard Osgood Hurdles Jensen Zwart Glee Club After many months of hard work and determlnatlon to equal last years performance, the Glee Club opened xts sprmg sesslon of concerts at the famous Wlll Rogers Memorlal Hospltal on May 19th The members of the club were greeted very warmly by the patlents, and the smgmg was greatly appreclated On the followlng mght the Glee Club entertamed a local Klwanxs group at the Mlrror Lake Inn where agam the smglng was very much apprecnated Contrary to last year the Clee Club appeared as solo entertalnment for the Rotary Internatlonal Conventlon on May 26th at the Lake Placid Club Last year the program was made up of four addr tlonal smgmg groups Another hlgh llght of the Glee Club calendar was the partlclpatlon ln the servlce at the Commun lty Church ln Lake Placid on June lst whxch gave many of the townspeople a chance to hear the club And to end the year the Glee Club sang at the graduatlon banquet and at the graduatlon ex erclses Thls year Mr Karr experlmented with a p1lot group whlch turned out to be a great success The pilot group conslsted of a l1m1ted number of boys from each of the four parts The group smgs such numbers as the lNegro spmtual I Got Shoes There Is Nothlng Llke a Dame , and Deep River For the repertoire of the Glee Club Mr Karr chose such songs as The Lord Is a Mxghty God What Cah You Do Wrth A Drunken Sailor, Down Among The Dead Men Youll Never Walk Alone, and others Page 41 ' - .
