The FFA picked popcorn and field corn last fall and sold it to the public. They also built three 4-pen hog houses. The Chapter went to the John Deere Field Days at Waterloo last November and the Parliamentary Procedure team attended the state convention at Sioux City. Fourteen members of the Northwood FFA exhibited swine at the Minnesota State Spring Barrow Show. Together they exhibited 70 head of swine. Neil Johnson won the junior master swine producers award and received a wrist watch as his reward. He was considered the outstanding junior exhibitor considering his project program and his overall knowledge of swine production. A committee of three interviewed each boy for about 20 minutes in deciding on the win- ner. The Northwood FFA chapter won the premier exhibit award. This award is given to the FFA chapter or 4-H group which makes the best overall performance in the show ring. It considers number of entries as well as placings in the show ring. For this they received a large felt banner indicative of the award. 16 FUTURE FARMERS OE AMERICA ff Z Z fs in fb 355355 gag L. fs 5:4 3-5 fzgf -f-'jj ,fs ff Q Z fa-fiifia FRESHMAN CLASS FIRST ROW Mary Swartwood Mar1lyn Johnson Donms Dahle Robert R1ngoen Treasurer Judy Severson Secretary Lonny Hopperstad Pres1dent Torn G1lp1n V1ce Pres1dent Els1e Dahlstram Crystal G1lbertson Sylvla Estes SECOND ROW Albert Adams Larry Peterson Howard Patterson ArlynJames Ron Rorde Rodney Carlson Marv1n Everhart Dav1d Thoen Wayne Cask1l1 Paul Perklns Mark Haugebak THIRD ROW Nelda Turvold V1olet Elhngson Barbara Forland Carol Seater Carolyn Tostenson Arlene Low Karen Wh1tCOTf18 Carol Thomp som Karen Flatness R1ta.
