Activities Junior High Whereas Mr. Robert Koehler's football boys were undefeated in conference play, whereas the frosh-soph basketball squad under Mr. Marshall Torgerson was also undefeated in conference play, whereas the varsity basket- ball team coached by Mr. Lyle Bestul won the conference championship and first place in the county tournament, therefore, we, the class of 1956, dedicate the Viking to our boys and to their coaches. The rest of the staff members took care of such things as GAA news lnquiring Reporter assembly programs, the calendar of coming events library news happenings in both vocal and instru- mental music departments, and other general high school news, Since the news for the coming week must be in the Anchor office by Friday night, the deadline for getting the news to the editor was Wednesday noon. There were many exceptions to this rule. Om' tour this year, during April, included exchange concerts with two other schools. The closing of the school year brought Conference Festival. But this was not the finale. The band still goes on! June brought the North Iowa Band Festival and the Summer Concert series.
