Many have made a great name for themselves and others have been included by accident. After graduating from Northwood High School and spending her first few years working in Bolan cremmery, Ilah Liljedahl joined the Ringling Brothers' Circus where she soon became Queen of the Trapeze. In her leisure time, 1 A.M. to 5 A.M., she is writing a book on how to keep fit. Her friend. Verna Mae, is now Dean of WOIDBD at St. olaf Cbllege. She is also well-known for her scientific egggyg which she regularly contributes to the Atlantic Monthly. Her former beau, Robert Pix- ley. the only one of us still remaining in Northwood has settled back to a life of leisure, having never recovered from his high school Daze . Richard Ogden Bruce Bottolfson is the president of the Lonely Hearts Club. He recently wrote the book, How to Make and Keep L0ve , a writing which was chosen as the Book of the Month. It is recommended for both men and women, age 6 to 60. It has always received the Christianson seal of approval. What have we here? Well, if it isn't Eileen Christiansen in the movies! And of all the wonderful things: she gets to play opposite Gene Autry in those rip-roar- ing cowboy pictures. After ten years, teen-agers are again looking forward to cowboy shows, all because our great heroine has persuaded Cblumbia Studio to end them with that added interest which she learned in her high schoo1days?That very important kiss! After working many years for the Bell Telephone, Alfred Mandt has now changed jobs. He is now working for Western Union Telegraph. His specialty is singing telegrams. He also spends his evenings singing with the Corn Cobblers gt Hunter'5 Paradise. His theme song is Where, Oh Where Has ly Little Dog Gone? Darlene Olmstead has joined the Salvation Army and is devoting her life to playing the bass drum. The dear, sweet soul! fHa! Ha!j After her high school days, Evelyn Spilde went west where she was unanimously chosen as the Queen of the Roses of 1950. Recently, however, she can be found in Los Angeles where she is employed as a taxi dancen Elaine Heisley's long engagement has resulted in marriage. She is now happily married to a minister. On Sunday mornings we will find her teaching Sunday-School. Having won the World's Ladies l0O Meter Free Style Event and several diving championships, which included the swan dive and jackknife dive, Marilou Harmon is now being starred with johnny Wiesmueller in Tarzan's Return . Her constant companion, Avis Groff, is head of a Chicago beauty school, specializing in courses that teach poise and how to walk correctly. Bill Ebert has made a fortune through his huge gambling syndicate. He has also written the sensational best seller, Doping Horses for Fun and Profit'H Herbe Neale got homesick for the Marines and re-enlisted for 30 days. He is most unique in having TWU girls in every port Another thriving salesman is Lee Walswick. When Lee graduated from N.H.S., he was undecided as to what trade would suit his manly proficiencies. Finally he settled for that of a perfume salesman. After work in this line he went into research and finally produced that great sensation, No-Odor-No-lore. This item revolutionized the entire Odorifer's industry. You see Lee has invented a perfume that doesn't smell at all! This age of progress! While scouting around the country whom do we run into but William Hepburn St. Clair, jr. as chief cook and bottle-washer at the Greasy Spoon. He is in immediate danger of losing his job, since he won't wash any bottles except coke bottles and because customers get Cro-o-o-o So tired of hearing those St. Clair- ized baritone solos. ff .1Y'. ie Zcmce Hammizftee The Dance Committee is a group of students composed of two seniors, two juniors one sophomore and one fresh- man.
