Reflections members A. Blacksin, A. Summer, L. Spiegel, B. Silver, Nl. Kelenson, E. Kant, J. Rubin, and D. Wright meet for discussion. Pupils Recognized For Literary Talent Under the direction of teacher Miss Dorothy Schmiedeler, the staff members of Reflections literary magazine selected the best entries of literary work from among student works at Northwood for publication. The task of the staff was to compile and publish the best original short stories, poems, and essays written by pupils during the year. Extensive work went into the publication of the literature and the accompanying art work present throughout the magazine. Outstanding literary achievements among students were recognized by selection to Quill and Scroll, the national journalistic honor society at Northwood. In particular the Ouill and Scroll acknowledged student achievement on the various school publications such as the Arrowhead, the Red and Black, and Reflections. Sponsors of these publications chose for membership those who had produced the greatest contribution in literature to Northwood literary publications. Helping to illustrate Miss Schmiedeler's English room, Dallas Wright staples past issues of the Reflections magazine to the bulletin board. Organizations 81
