Students Encourage European Cultures Members of the Latin Club held meetings to learn about the customs and language of the Roman people. The highlight of the year came at the Latin banquet when members dressed in traditional Roman garb and took part in Roman holiday festivities. The Latin Scrabble Team participated in area competition with nearby schools and proved their ability at this exclusively Latin game. Being a major part of the Latin Club, the literary magazine Pegasus was published several times during the school year. lt contained humorous articles concerning the Latin language and customs. ln the second semester, the Spanish Club members visited the El Alamo restaurant to savor a traditional Spanish meal. Teaming up with the Spanish Honor Society, students traveled to the Spanish ballet to extend their knowledge of that country's customs. Members discussed Spain and its people, receiving first-hand knowledge form their sponsor, lVlrs. Ward. Latin Club leaders Brian Rodbell and Dave Cohen discuss the activities in the coming Latin Club banquet with their fellow members. , ? ft Organizations 73
