Winter Wonderland lneures Enjoyment Dancing under the crepe paper canopy to the music of the Expressions Band and Show, students enjoyed the scenery of the Senior Class's annual Winter Wonderland Dance. Two large papier-mache Snowmen, a well-decorated Christ- mas tree, and various sized cut-out snowflakes throughout the gym helped to set the atmosphere for the dance. During the dance, refreshments were served in the cafeteria. Punch tables were set up under a large snow-white parachute, and many different colored lights illuminated decorations hanging from it. Carla Flatequal became the new Winter Wonderland Queen when her date chose the Christmas-wrapped box with the lucky gold charm for her. Last year's Queen, Robin Wright, crowned Carla Queen during the climax of the ceremony. Dancing to the music of the Expressions Band and Show, Karl Noyes and his date Bobbie Peterson enjoy Winter WonderIand's atmosphere.

Junior Class Ends Progressive Year Under the direction of faculty advisor Mrs. Carolyn Willis, Northwood's Junior Class presented Ernestine Gilbreth Carey's and Frank B. Gilbreth's Cheaper by the Dozen on March 20-22. Robin Batleman assumed the challenging role of Anne Gilbreth, the oldest and most rebelling of the twelve Gilbreth children. Jim Fitzgibbons portrayed the disciplining father, and Arlyn Sharpe played the more lenient mother. Harriet Lightman, the objectionable tutor, gave a good performance. Strong support was given to Miss Willis by the various crews and committees, including the stage crew, lighting and sound crews, make-up committee, costume committee, and publicity committee. Team work on the part of the com- mittees aided Mrs. Willis in the smooth presentation of the play. This Magic Moment , the 1969 Junior Prom, was held at the Washingtonian Motel. The Epsilons provided excellent music. From 8 to 11:30, couples danced under crepe paper decorations. While shopping for a dress for the Junior Prom, Joan Nelson stops to admire a spring formal at Woodward and Lothrop's in Wheaton Plaza.
