Specialized Faculty Aides Effectiveness Much of the school efficiency is credited to the North- wood specialized staff. Mrs. Elizabeth Disney, cafeteria manager, and her staff provided nourishing and appetizing meals for the three lunch periods of students. A wide se- lection of lunches were available, including a hot and cold meal and a snack line for assorted sandwiches and inter- esting desserts. Always available in case of an emergency, school nurse Mrs. Audrey Carpenter treated any student with a health problem. She maintained complete student dental and health forms and supervised sight and hearing tests throughout the year. Acting as a major part of Northwood were the librarians Mrs. Julia Ceranton, Mrs. Nina O'NeiI, and assisting library aides. With their expert help, it was made possible for students to check out books, magazines, and reference materials, as well as make use of library typewriters, ditto machines, and also the automatic copier. Among their many jobs, they were responsible for collecting fines for overdue books, ordering new selections, and maintaining order in the library. Under the direction of Mr. Charles Claggett, the North- wood custodial staff devoted many hours to the main- tenance of the building and grounds and general assistance whenever necessary. Additional iobs for Northwood's eval- uation included the painting of lockers and the gym.
