Harriers Complete Successful Season Senior Ralph Rota and juniors Richard Dunnigan and Brett Dunkelman led a strong cross country team to a fourth place finish in their section in the state meet. Rota placed seventh, while Dunnigan and Dunkelman ran to ninth and thirteenth place finishes, respectively. During the year seniors Gary Levine, Lee Shapiro, and Mark Kushner helped the team to capture two firsts, three seconds, and one third in the regular dual and tri-meets. Highlighting the meets was the consistent good running of juniors Winfred and Randol Leach, John Fiormonti, Don Brenner, and sophomores Greg Briehl and Jeff Levine, who will return next season. After a slow start in the first meets, the runners, under the coaching of lVlr. Frey, improved to crush Good Counsel for their first victory of the season. Following a loss in a close meet with Springbrook, the cross country team again beat Good Counsel to finish the year. Harrier Randol Leach races past Blair rival in dual meet.
