Plagued by inexperience and poor Weather conditions, the team was not able to jell until midseason. The turning point was a sound 7-0 victory over Wheaton. O'Loughlin H4 Sports ...K Girls interested in sports had the opportunity to develop their skills and to compete with other schools through activities sponsored by the Girls, Sports As- sociation. For each sport, intramural and honor teams were organized. In the fall, the hockey honor team completed a suc- cessful season with a 4-1-1 record. The basketball honor team finished its season with four Wins and two losses. Spring activity, focusing on volleyball and softball, ended a year of Well-rounded girls, sports. Keeping her eye on the ball in the basket, Darlene Freas evades a visiting guard to score two points for Northwood at a Basketball Sportsday.
