PROBLEMS facing teachers and the opporiuiiities open before teachers- to-be were the subjects of concern at meetings of the women ' s education honor- ary, Pi Lambda Tlieta. Members had the opportunity to liear lectures from and discuss problems with teachers who had experience in facing the problems the women read about in classes or met in practice teaching. Maintaining a 3.3 ave- rage for initiation were: C ' vnthia Beck- er, Adrienne Craff, IVIargie Huth, INIaigie Isaac, Kditli Miller, and Jean nvuvv FRESHMEN felt more at home in their new environment after they were warmly greeted by Theta Sigma Phi members, who hostessed the journalism new student open house during orientation week. At a Spring Matrix banquet ten coed and ten North Shore women were honored for work in the journalism field.
