Each Student Governor is selected to represent specified Campus groups. In addition to the students, there is a permanent Executive Secretary and two faculty members on the Board. The functions of the Student Governing Board are two- fold: ' - First of all it provides a means for students to make rules and regulations for their own govern- ment. Secondly, the Student Governing Board directs the operation of the Evanston Campus Association. This association is designed to co-ordinate the many campus activities. From Rau:-F. SEYI., PROP. SOCIAL DEPARTMENT orriscrfas JOHNSON BEYE11 Chairman, RAY KOTZ Treasurer PAT DoBsoN Secretary The Social Department of the Evanston Campus Association primarily plans and supervises all university celebrations such as Dad's Day, Homecoming, Cap-crowning, Candle-lighting, and sponsors the informal school dances which are held during the football season. In addition to these functions the Social Department sponsors the cheerleaders, special football trains, grid- graph, and other events that arise during the school year. This department is continually planning better social regulations for student functions, and attempting to interest more students in the participation in student enterprises. It is the hope of this major department that in the near future a building will be erected wi th facilities for assembling the student body for athletic pep-sessions. lt is also felt that such a build- ing might well afford a much needed centralized location for campus social activity. The success of this department is dependent not only on the cabinet and functional heads but also on the student body and the organizations on the Evanston Campus. DOBSON Burma Korz
