At the NEWMAN CENTER, or the St. Thomas Aquinas Student Center. Catholic students participate in the Newman Apostolate. The Apostolate, unlike a club, has no officers. Instead, committees are set up to coordinate the various activities of the Center; students volunteer to work on whichever committees they would most enjoy. Sharing in the Center ' s activities are Fr. O ' Brien, the chaplain, and Dr. Rod Outland and Dr. Hugh Land, both faculty sponsors. OFFICERS Jolene O ' Quin, Annette Wallace, Sally Dahoney. THE CANTERBURY CLUB, an organization for all Episcopal students, began as the Young People ' s Service League in 1928. In 1941, it became the James C. Morris Chapter of the National Foundation of Canterbury Clubs. The purpose of the club is to develop and to guide the spiritual life of the students. This is accomplished through discussion, study, worship, recreation, fellowship, and cooperative worship. The activities of the Canterbury Club consist of a Mid-Winter Southern Conference, a States Convention, an Al-lCollege Conference, and joint activities with other clubs.
